friday’s food links | my first food swap this weekend

Hi everyone,

I am headed to my very first food swap this weekend! I am excited and a little intimidated, but I’m diving in with some of my favorite foods. I’ll have lots of pictures and a more official report next week, but I’ll go ahead and kick off this week’s Friday links with:

ATXswappers

Also…

My daughter’s favorite TV show of all time starts its second season next Tuesday. Fun watch and any excuse I have to look at photos of Jamie Oliver’s beautiful photographs is a plus for me.

We all do our best with the resources that we have available. I find it useful to look at other people’s tips and tricks from time to time to see if I need to make any adjustments to my spending/buying strategies.

And to sober me up on how privileged I am:

And a couple of links that speak for themselves:

Strawberries May Fight Cancer

Photo of the knitted strawberries are from Kathryn Ivy who knits all sorts of fun stuff in addition to food!

Have a fun weekend!

I almost signed up for the ATX food swap! But chickened out! I can’t wait to hear how it goes! I’ve recently been reintroduced to your blog (I used to read it a couple of years ago?)… It ended up I am going out of town this weekend… but I would love to participate in an upcoming one!
