tender heart indeed

It is not often that I fall in love with a cookbook. They are useful. They will have lots of recipes. They will be beautifully shot. Love though is a wholly different plane that requires that it pull at my heart strings a bit either in its celebrations of vegetables or storytelling. Well… Tenderheart does this all seamlessly AND I want to cook my way through every page an ingredient at a time. What a beautiful, thoughtful, and deliciously curated collection and glimpse into food memories.

We were omnom-ing through the last of our zucchini dinner last night, which is just not a thing that happens in September. We’re usually eating our way through month three of zucchini season and at this point we eat it out of duty to our seasonal ways. We served the dish over a bed of romaine and can see us adding a grain next time around or maybe doctoring it into a sandwich. So good.

More cooking from this book in the works!
