The crew behind Austin Bakes has kicked back into high gear. They raised over $11,000 for the Americares Japan Relief fund in April and we are hopeful that we can do just as well for our neighbors in Bastrop on October 1. The bake sale will be from 10am-2pm at seven locations all over town with all proceeds going towards Austin Community Foundation’s Central Texas Wildfire Fund.
I’ll be outside the San Jose Hotel peddling baked goods along with the rest of the South Congress team, so stop on by. Please let the team know if you would like to volunteer. We still need bakers and help with shifts at all locations.
