It is Thanksgiving week and we are breaking up our veggie routine by giving a new local CSA program a whirl. I love the flexibility that picking up my CSA at Johnson’s Backyard Garden at the market offers, but I figured it was time to give someone else a shot. That someone else is Farmhouse Delivery.
What came in our box – Collards, Carrots, Turnips, Butter Lettuce, Oranges, Apples, Green Beans, Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes (Photo: Farmhouse Delivery) I don’t think this stash would hold us through a regular week, but we’ve done some shopping for Thursday’s special meal and have our regular CSA pickup at the market on Saturday.
Breakfast
Kale, Potato & Soyrizo Frittata* | Grapefruits
Egg Sliders | Hashbrowns
Brussel Sprout Scramble | Sweet Potato Wedges
Cinnamon French Toast
Oatmeal Pancakes
Meals
Quinoa, Tempeh & Green Bean Bowls
Vegetarian Tan-Tan Noodles**
Chickpea & Dandelion Greens(faking it with collards)***
Salads with Mustard Vinaigrette
Tostada or Sope Night
Potato & Chickpea Stew^
Broccoli & Cheese Stromboli
Snacks & Other Stuff
Sweet Potato Waffles for the freezer
Fresh-Squeezed Orange Juice
Whole Wheat Apple Sauce Muffins
I know it seems like a whole lot of food, but we have everyone home for the entire week. This means breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in between meals need to be accounted for a whole lotta days.
More on Thursday’s meal tomorrow…
I’m still a devoted fan on Eat Your Books as you can see by the links below. It makes scouring the options that I have available on my cookbook shelf as easy as typing an ingredient into a search bar. 🙂
