My daughter’s classroom has a lovely daily ritual they call ATPs (Accentuate the Positive). Every morning, they go around the circle and say one thing that they are happy/thankful for. It can be something as simple as, “My breakfast taco was really good this morning.” Sometimes all you need to change the trajectory of your day is to stop for a split second and think one good thought. It can help you shake the morning grumps and melt away the ick, even if only for a moment.
So I am starting today with a quick list of ATPs:
– So happy that it is overcast.
– Grateful for my slow cooker.
– Pleased that we were able to start the day properly – with coffee, books and lounging.
– Happy that I have him.
– She’s 10!!
