pantry gifts

The time for teacher gifts is just around the corner. This post is from last year, but I thought it might be worth revisiting. Teacher gifts can be a little tough as the context within which I know these adults is incredibly limited. I usually opt for homemade (food) gifts that could help dress up their day-to-day meals a bit. Homemade ketchup with a flavored salt is one of my favorite gift bundles. You could even tuck in a recipe for some awesome home fries to kick it up a notch.

I realize that not every embraces tomatolandia quite to the extent that I do, so you might not have extra ¼ pints of ketchup just laying around in your pantry. Worry not. It would be just as easy to pull together a little gift basket with a sweet preserve from your stash, cheese, and nice loaf of bread.
