We have officially arrived at the lots of small meals to make it through the day part of the year. This heat is intense and active cooking is being kept to quick sautéing or hands-off-away-from1kitchen simmering. For this… this meal was perfect.
Beans are as exciting as the season you wrap them in so this recipe* with its summer peppers and summer tomatoes and pimentón and saffron salt were bright and tangy and everything that is right with the season that is currently bringing us triple digit temps. We ate it room temp and we shall test it as a cold one later tonight when we find our way back to the kitchen for meal number ######.
