broccoli season is here

CSA broccoli is one of those things that will turn skeptics into lovers. It is that good. I do my best to bring out all my broccoli-forward recipes at this time of year and today, we began our broccoli feasting. I’ve posted some of our favorite broccoli recipes before but a couple are worth repeating here:

Also, we chowed down on a modified version of this Smitten Kitchen recipe tonight. Charring the broccoli in the pan along with onion and garlic instead of steaming and adding a bit of heavy cream to the pureed mixture to help the broccoli bits stick to the pasta even more. The broccoli “pesto” was scrumptious; we’ll be adding this to the kiddo’s repertoire and repeating until she gets it down pat.
