Picked what I hope is my first of many batches today. Neighbor said that in his 40 years in the neighborhood, no one has ever asked about picking. What?!? My impatience got the best of me and I sliced into a cantaloupe before it was ready to eat. I knew that it was going to need some rescuing pretty much immediately.
