lemonade for food

We’ll be postponing the lemonade stand till Saturday, May 7 at noon. We’ll continue taking online donations through then and hope that you guys can still make it out.

Our daughter will be raising food and funds for the Capital Area Food Bank on Sunday, May 1 with her first-ever lemonade stand. She and another pint-sized friend will be serving up ice-cold, strawberry lemonade in exchange for canned goods or cash donations.

Please come out and support the girls’ efforts to help fight hunger in Central Texas!

Sunday, May 1 from 3-5PM
Saturday, May 7 from Noon-2pm
Wheatsville Food Co-op
3101 Guadalupe Street

They will be accepting cash/check donations and will also be taking online donations through Monday, May 9.

The summer is one of the busiest times of year for food banks all over the country as families struggle to replace meals normally provided by schools under the free lunch program. This time of year is a critical food and fund-raising time for the Capital Area Food Bank and we’d appreciate anything that you can do to help.

Hunger is unacceptable!

Please keep your eyes peeled for the other kid-run lemonade stands all over the city. Sunday is Austin Lemonade Day and there will be lots of young entrepreneurs out in neighborhoods giving business-ownership a whirl.
