As I was knee-deep in flour and batter this morning, I realized that I now have a Halloween tradition – baking! I usually make a pumpkin bread to take to our Halloween hosts (party and trick or treating later tonight) and then there is the birthday cake for tomorrow. That one is going to be a yellow butter cake with a fudge frosting. Yum.
The other tradition? Throwing out last year’s Halloween candy before we go and get more. There are some Ring Pops and flavored Tootsie Rolls buried in that candy bin that MUST be thrown out.
