I haven’t had to grab more than two bars (one for her and one for me) before leaving the house since forever ago and she goes back to school tomorrow. Yikes. Dinner shall be dictated by the lunches that I need to pack as there is not the usual stockpile of leftovers in the fridge to choose from.
Her Lunches
Black Beans & Rice | Pumpkin Bread
Multi-Grain Waffles | Pear Butter
Tomato Soup | Quiche
Almond Butter, Banana & Honey | Quinoa Cakes
I usually send a fruit, veggie and extra snack along with her lunch, too.
We are also busy with things beyond the girl… furnishing and equipping (not to mention working out of) our new office space in East Austin! Huge changes considering that I’ve made working from a home a lifestyle for the better part of my adult life. I still plan on working from home at least a couple of days of week but it may take a few weeks to settle into a rhythm. In the meantime, there will be lots of tacos (homemade of course) and time spent on cooking basics that can be repurposed into leftover lunches.
Also, too… a huge thank you to Kate Thornberry at the Austin Chronicle for mentioning me in her Top 10 Austin Food Blogs! Didn’t make it into the Top 10 but am giddy that folks are landing here often enough to get an Honorable Mention. Congrats to all the other AFBA Members that made it into the Top 10 and to Sarah Eats Austin for sharing the Honorable Mention slot with me.
Have a great week and be sure to check into my Twitter feed (@aneelee) for in between posts.
congrats on your mention in The Chronicle!
thanks!
