I love days like today. The activity levels are somewhere between nowhere-to-be-lounging and tiny spurts of busy that end in food. The glorious grey that was left behind by the rains has me daydreaming of our flea market weekends in San Francisco. Sigh.
Doing my best to stay in that mode, I layered on a fleece, grabbed my cup of coffee and headed out to the farmer’s market in hopes of finding that same muted busy. It was perfect. Took a stroll along the booths before picking up my CSA bounty (broccoli, spinach, beets, chard, rutabaga, green onions, carrots, lettuce & citrus) and am now back home – apron fixed on the waist, ready to take on some comfort food.
Mmmm. I love that kind of day too and I especially love chard. Enjoy.
