no meal plan – december 13, 2011
I had all sorts of lofty plans for this week – cookie making, enchiladas with homemade tortillas and a yummy Sopa de Lima that I have been craving since I made tortilla soup a few weeks ago. And now? Now, I just don’t feel well and I am wishing that I had a lot more […]
Moremeal plan – december 5, 2011
I’m going to keep the cooking pretty light this week since we have a fridge full of leftovers to work through and lots of soup from this past weekend’s soup swap. Yay! Miso-Glazed Bok Choi | Miso Soup | Stir-Fried Broccoli Spinach Quiche | Vegan Wild Rice Soup (from swap) Pasta with Winter Greens & […]
Morerecipe: red vegetarian broth
I made a batch of my red broth this morning to get ready for the soup-a-thon that I have ahead of me the next few days. I have a soup swap to go to and although I haven’t decided what I’ll be making, I know that at the very least one of the soups I […]
Moremeal plan – november 21, 2011
Let’s pretend that we have to feed ourselves on days besides Thursday, okay?
Moreweekend meal plan – november 19, 2011
My daughter has the entire upcoming week off, which means that my husband will be home, too. Feeding the entire family breakfast, lunch, dinner and snackage for 9 consecutive days is pretty daunting, so I’m breaking it up into weekend-weekdays-weekend for the sake of sanity.
Morethanksgiving is officially scheduled in
We have decided to make the celebrating a bit more official this time around for the sake of the holiday-starved eight year old.
Moremeal plan | november 14, 2011
Our veggie stash is a little low this week so we will turn to the pantry and freezer to fill out some meals.
Moremeal plan | november 7, 2011
This week’s meal plan has me cranking on the oven. Yay for summer being over!
Moremeal plan | october 25, 2011
The past few days have come with a stark realization – I am no longer a stay at home mama. I’ve been taking on small gigs here and there (freelancing, writing and event producing) for the past year and slowly those have turned into more steady work. I’m super happy about how well these little […]
Moremeal plan | october 4, 2011
Last week’s meal plan got thrown to the wind as soon as it sunk in that lots of baking had to happen in 100º+ weather. I didn’t have much left in me come dinner time and I was thankful that we had lots of leftovers and pasta on hand. So, this week, I owe my […]
Moremeal plan – september 19, 2011
The temperatures have dropped quite a bit in the past few days, which means that baking can get thrown back into the week’s plan. I made some lovely little Whole Wheat Applesauce Muffins this morning that may be getting added into the regular muffin rotation this fall and I am hoping that I feel up […]
Moremeal plan | september 7, 2011
My plans for a quiche and soup dinner last week were squashed by the heat, but I think that we may be nearing more seasonally appropriate temperatures (for Central Texas ayways) so I shall forge ahead with more plans for hearty meals and a couple that even require the oven. Dinner: Split Pea Soup | […]
Moremeal plan | august 29, 2011
Phew! That was a long and hot summer break. I had ambitious editorial expectations for myself this summer and I now know to expect less of myself in the summer months when the girlie is home with me and the heat makes it nearly impossible to set into motion. We delivered the girl (now eight!) […]
Moremeal plan | july 25, 2011
Craving lots of my mama’s food this week so I’m throwing in the Seitan con Papas and Tamales for a bit of home with a vegetarian twist. I’ve only planned through Friday, but am hoping to get some inspiration for those meals as the week progresses. Monday Breakfast: Tacos! Packed Lunch: Leftover Black Bean Veggie […]
Moremeal plan | week of july 11, 2011
We have seven weeks left of our summer break which means that it is time for me to step it up. I have ingredients for a full seven meals on hand right now and I am hoping that I can crank through it all by the middle of next week (at the latest) and have lots of leftovers on hand for lunches. Also hoping that I can whip my breakfast planning back into shape.
